Let’s start with the most obvious lie.
Many readers will recall that Job Amupanda and friends have long said their Affirmative Repositioning (AR) movement would “never” seek to become a political party. It was their refrain in the early days.
It was reported — for example — on 21 June 2016 that AR ‘leader Job Amupanda yesterday said President Hage Geingob’s claim that “the organisation wants to become a political party is not supported by facts,” and in the same breath accused the president of making “mere propaganda.”

Time however showed that Dr Hage Geingob was right when he said AR ‘wants to become a political party, and that Amupanda was the one lying all along, because in mid-2024 — eight years later — AR confirmed they had officially registered as a political party.
The Observer quoted at the time a ‘source, who opted to remain anonymous’ (lol, guess who) that ‘The Affirmative Repositioning movement has submitted its application to the Electoral Commission of Namibia) to register… as a political party to contest in the 2024 presidential and national assembly elections.’
THEREFORE, we cannot but conclude on the evidence that Job was lying when he said Geingob’s claim was “not supported by facts”. In the fullness of time it turned out that it was actually Job — and not Geingob — who was lying and spreading false propaganda by denying AR would become a political party.
