Iran says 'enough is enough' as it goes ballistic against Israel
Netanyahu's wishes come true as Israel and friends prepare for wider war
Its patience exhausted after months of deadly provocations, in an unprecedented show of strength Iran on Tuesday struck a number of military and intelligence targets that sent residents of the settler colony of Israel scampering into bunkers for safety.

The attack involving an estimated 200 ballistic missiles comes after months of provocation by the extremist government of Benjamin Netanyahu that involved the bombing of an Iranian embassy, and assassination of key military personnel, diplomats and allies, such as Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah in Lebanon, as well as the assassination of Hamas leader Ismael Haniyeh in Tehran.
The missile attack by Iran on Monday night, according to Iranian military sources targeted key military and intelligence assets in Israel, but did not kill any Israelis, although one Palestinian man in the Occupied Palestinian Territories was confirmed killed by falling shrapnel from an intercepted missile.

In a statement on Twitter/X, the Iranian army said, âWe launched 200 ballistic missiles of various types at three main airbases, including Nevatim, where the U.S. delivers bombs to the Zionist regime and which hosts F-35 fighter jets, and Hatzerim, which participated in the assassination of dear martyr Nasrallah. Other targets included the Mossad terror center, strategic radar systems, and tank, personnel carrier, and infantry units around Gaza involved in the genocide of the Palestinian people.â
While Israeli officials, including the universally detested prime minister Netanyahu â who was visibly trembling during a read-out of his belligerent press statement last night â threatened retaliation., the Speaker of the Iranian parliament Mohammad Ghalibaf said, 'If you knew what has been prepared for you, you would cease your threats against Iran immediately.â

Although Iran has held off on direct attacks against Israel since April in the hopes that such restraint could bring about a ceasefire in Gaza, Maj. Gen. Mousavi last night said:
âWe endured the bitterness of restraint for a time, but we saw that they are not changing their attitude for the better; if they make any additional wrong moves, we will respond more harshly. In that case, we may decide to destroy their infrastructure."
Undeterred by the threats from nuclear-armed Israel and its Western backers, in a statement in Hebrew, the leader of Iran, Imam Ali Khamenei, said: âWith God's help, the blows of the resistance front will become stronger and more painful on the worn-out and rotting body of the Zionist regime.â
Western leaders back Israel
The backers of Israel in Washington and London who have continued to supply arms to Israel despite the deaths of untold number of Palestinians over the past 12 months, and who watched on without comment as Israel massacred over 1800 people in Lebanon and according to the UN, forced over a million people from their homes in recent weeks, scrambled late last night to issue statements condemning Iran.
Ignoring the fact that several military and intelligence installations were hit, Israelâs main arms supplier, Joe Biden â on account of the fact that no Israelis were killed in the attack â claimed late on Tuesday that âThe attack appears to have been defeated and ineffective, and this is a testament to Israeli military capability and the US military.â
A self-proclaimed lifelong Zionist, Biden, who has reportedly accepted over 11 million US dollars from AIPAC, has been obediently toeing the line set by Netanyahu over the past year and providing billions of dollars to aid the war effort of Israel against the besieged people of Gaza while claiming to be working for a ceasefire, said:
âMake no mistake, the United States is fully, fully, fully supportive of Israel.â Â
Despite having held her tongue in the face of Israelâs relentless bombing and terror attacks in Lebanon, presidential candidate Kamala Harris was also quick off the mark last night to condemn Iran as a âdestabilizing, dangerous force in the Middle East,â and gave assurances in a message that appears to have been crafted for the ears of her backers in AIPAC, from whom she has accepted over US$5.3 million, saying:
âI will always ensure Israel has the ability to defend itself against Iran and Iran-backed terrorist militias.â
The hypocrisy of Downing Street was also on full display when UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy, another recipient of generous donations from Israeli lobbyists, who has not muttered a word of protest against Israelâs recent terror attacks in Beirut or the massacre of hundreds of Lebanese over the past two weeks, rushed out a statement last night, saying:
âI condemn Iranâs attack on Israel in the strongest terms. Today I warned Iran against taking action that could push the region further towards the brink. A cycle of escalation is in no oneâs interest.â
UK prime minister Keir Starmer also rushed to condemn Iran. Standing on the podium in Downing Street and displaying all the signs of a man suffering impostor syndrome, he condemned the missile attacks, saying:
âWe stand with Israel and we recognise her right to self defence in the face of this aggression.â
He went on to say, â"Iran must stop these attacks. Together with its proxies like Hezbollah, Iran has menaced the Middle East for far too long, chaos and destruction brought not just to Israel, but to the people they live amongst in Lebanon and beyond.â
Singing from the same hymn sheet as his counterparts in Washington, Starmer, a self-proclaimed Zionist, who has been embroiled in a bribes-for-access scandal in recent weeks and who has since coming to office been accused of aiding and abetting Israel in its genocidal campaign in Gaza, doubled down on his support for the right-wing government of Netanyahu, saying:
âMake no mistake, Britain stands full-square against such violence. We support Israelâs reasonable demand for the security of its people.â
By all accounts, reminiscent of their longstanding support for apartheid South Africa until it was no longer profitable or feasible, the powers-that-be in Washington and London have remained solidly behind the settler colonial project of Israel, which observers have claimed serves as a military outpost and forward base for the Western powers in the region to prevent the unification and resurgence of Arab nations.

Iranâs missile attack, however, did not deter Israel from continuing its deadly assaults on Gaza and Lebanon overnight, which claimed an as yet unconfirmed number of lives.
Netanyahu remains defiant
Meanwhile, Netanyahu â who is said to be seeking to prolong the war to stall his day in court and a likely prison sentence on corruption charges by goading Iran into responding militarily to the unceasing provocations and attacks on its terrirory, allies and leadership â seems to be close to realising his longstanding ambition of drawing the US and UK into a direct confrontation with Tehran.
Iran has long held off on direct confrontation with nuclear-armed Israel, but its assault on military installations in Israel last night in what has been dubbed âOperation Enough is Enoughâ means the world is now on the brink of a wider regional war that threatens to draw the great powers into the vortex.
